My Sister’s Egg Masala Recipe



Last week me and my sister were cooking together in the kitchen, which is quite unusual because we never cook together often. I made tandoori potatoes and my sister made this curry and some fried rice..I helped her a little in making fried rice. And once we sat together and tasted this it was so good..We had a yummy lunch..I wanted to share her recipe with you all..So here you go..

My Sister’s Egg Masala Recipe

Ingrediants:

Onion – 1 large chopped
Tomatoes- 2 chopped
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder / Manjal podi – 1 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil- 2 tblspn

For Frying Eggs:
Oil- 1 tblspn
Eggs – 3 boiled and peeled
Salt to taste
Chilli powder – 1 tsp

Method:

Start by frying the eggs. Mix salt and chilli powder to the cooked eggs and mixwell. Heat a tblspn of oil and fry the eggs in that oil till light golden. Remove to a plate.

Now grind onion and tomatoes together and set aside.

Heat oil in a kadai. Add in ground onion and tomato paste and mix well.Cook this until oil separates from this.

Now add in all the spice powder and mix well. Cook this for a min.

Add enough water and mix well. Add in the fried eggs and cook for 5 mins till the mixture becomes dry.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Indian Style Egg Omelette / Egg Omelet – Quick Side Dish of Rice / Combo with Rice & Rasam / Combo with Bread


This is my favorite dish when it comes to instant calmer..If I am having this for breakfast, I have it with toasted bread. For lunch Rice, Rasam and this together taste like heaven....I hope you will try it and let me know what you think..



Indian Style Egg Omelette Recipe

Ingrediants:

Egg – 3
Onion -1 chopped finely
Coriander Leaves / Cilantro – 2 tblspn chopped
Green Chilli -1 chopped finely
Chilli Powder -1/2 tsp
Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi -1/2 tsp
Water -2 tblspn
Salt to taste
Oil-1 tsp

Method:

Mix everything given in the list except oil and beat till just combined.

Heat oil in a non stick tawa and pour a small portion over that.

Cook for 2 mins on one side flip over and cook for a min on the other side.

Remove to a plate and serve with rice and rasam.

Vegetable Cutlet


This is another recipe from my friend who is a expert in making cutlets..You can check her recipe for mutton cutlet and fish cutlet in my blog..So this is for you vegetarians…A wonderful appetizer for kids or for parties…Hope you like it..

Vegetable Cutlet Recipe

Ingrediants:

Carrot  - 1 chopped very finely
Beans - 10 chopped very finely
Cauliflower-5 florets chopped finely
Onion - 1 large chopped finely
Potatoes-2 large cooked and mashed
Green Chilli-1 chopped finely
Ginger Garlic Paste-2  tblspn
Gram Flour / Kadalai Mavu / Besan - 2 tblspn
Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu - 2 tblspn
Chilli powder-1 tsp
Turmeric Powder / Manjal podi -1 tsp
Cilantro / Coriander Leaves - 2 tblspn finely chopped
Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
Egg-2
Salt to taste
Oil - 1tblspn +for shallow frying

Method:

Cook carrot, cauliflower,beans  with salt,turmeric and 1 tblspn of ginger garlic paste untill cooked.

Heat 1 tblspn oil in a kadai. Add onions, green chillies, 1 tblspn of ginger garlic paste, chilli powder in that and saute well.

Take  mashed potatoes, besan, riceflour, cooked vegatbles, sauted onion mixture, salt in a mixing bowl and mix well.

Form small pattice and  dip in egg and then in breadcrumbs and set aside.

Now shallow fry it in oil till golden brown.

Drain in a paper towel and serve hot with ketchup.

Fish Cutlet


Fish Cutlet Recipe

Ingrediants:

Fish  - 1/2 kg
Potatoes-2 large cooked and mashed
Onion - 1 large chopped finely
Green Chilli-1 chopped finely
Ginger Garlic Paste-2  tblspn
Gram Flour / Kadalai Mavu / Besan - 2 tblspn
Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu - 2 tblspn
Chilli powder-1 tsp
Turmeric Powder / Manjal podi -1 tsp
Cilantro / Coriander Leaves - 2 tblspn finely chopped
Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
Egg-2
Salt to taste
Oil - 1tblspn +for shallow frying

Method:

Cook fish  with salt,turmeric and 1 tblspn of ginger garlic paste. Drain it and remove the flesh from it and discard the bones.

Heat 1 tblspn oil in a kadai. Add onions, green chillies, 1 tblspn of ginger garlic paste, chilli powder in that and saute well.

Take  mashed potatoes, besan, riceflour, cooked fish, saute onion mixture, salt in a mixing bowl and mix well.

Form small pattice and  dip in egg and then in breadcrumbs and set aside.

Now shallow fry it in oil till golden brown.

Drain in a paper towel and serve hot with ketchup.

Mutton Cutlet


This recipe is from my friend shabi..She is a wonderful cook..You can check all her food photos in her facebook page..She bought this cutlet for us at work, and it was so yummy...I usually won't eat mutton, but after tasting this cutlet i started eating it..This is such a yummy recipe...I hope you love it and let me know what you think..

 
Mutton Cutlet Recipe
 
Ingrediants:

Mutton - 1/2 kg boneless
Potatoes-2 large cooked and mashed
Onion - 1 large chopped finely
Green Chilli-1 chopped finely
Ginger Garlic Paste-2  tblspn
Gram Flour / Kadalai Mavu / Besan - 2 tblspn
Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu - 2 tblspn
Chilli powder-1 tsp
Turmeric Powder / Manjal podi -1 tsp
Cilantro / Coriander Leaves - 2 tblspn finely chopped
Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
Egg-2
Salt to taste
Oil - 1tblspn +for shallow frying

Method:

Cook mutton with salt,turmeric and 1 tblspn of ginger garlic paste in pressure cooker. Now  Grind it in a blender or food processor.

Heat 1 tblspn oil in a kadai. Add onions, green chillies, 1 tblspn of ginger garlic paste, chilli powder in that and saute well.

Take  mashed potatoes, besan, riceflour, cooked mutton, saute onion mixture, salt in a mixing bowl and mix well.

Form small pattice and  dip in egg and then in breadcrumbs and set aside.

Now shallow fry it in oil till golden brown.

Drain in a paper towel and serve hot with ketchup.
