To Make My Little Sis Happy !!!

This is not really a post, but i wanted to share this image so badly (Read further). I used to tell my little sis that she needs to improve in taking pictures a lot..The reason is she won't focus on the object which she takes and click randomly. So the result is blur images... I think she took is so seriously and was taking pictures of each and everything...One day she came to me and showed me this image, i was really impressed with that..And i told her that she is getting better and better..She was so happy and she insisted me to post this picture in my blog and share her joy..Hence this image..

I hope that after seeing this she will be happy..

What do you think about this??

Amma’s method of making poori is entirely different from mine. It was not the traditional one but taste so good with poori. She makes the masala little runnier, so that everyone gets a little of the gravy..

One more weird thing which she adds in all the korma is MILK..Yes, Amma adds milk in all the dishes. This gravy can be done in very less time than anyother curry. My Wedding Jewels (Part 1) - Wedding Update 2

In india weddings are not completely fullfilled without drowning the bride in all those precious gold ornaments...These jewels are so elegant and charming and makes the whole wedding a blast..During my school or college days i was not that fond of gold ornaments or stuffs like that..There are times when i thought " what is this stupid culture of buying lots of jewels and wasting a whole lot of money in that, This is too bad"..But now i am getting to know the real fact..If it is a wedding specially in india, there must be golds, it is something so special.

Even now when someone meet me the first thing which they ask me is "JEWELS VANGIYACHA( Have you purchased jewels)". If i say no not yet..Then they will see me in some weird look and tell me "not yet, get soon..only few days for the wedding..right"...I was a kind of worried because of this questions and started bugging amma about that. Finally its all done.Yes we have finished purchasing all those gold.YAY...Wedding blast has started...

Like the clothes shopping experience, i have a unique experience while i went for purchasing my wedding jewels..Oneday amma told me 'why don't we go to those jewellery shops and see some design and collection for you, so that we can get some nice collections at the end'...I told ok we can go..Amma, my two perimma(aunts) and me got ready for that and we went to one of our trust old jewellery shop.

At first i was not so interested in that, but later i got so overwhelmed and started searching so seriously..I have a great addiction towards bangles, so we first checked into the bangle section..That seller was so enthusiastic and started giving me lots of set of bangles to wear..When we finished our shopping my hand was red in colour and even a little of my outer skin is broken..I must have worn and removed over 200 bangles that day..OMG..

Ok coming to the matter..I was interested in some bangles so we thought "ok lets get into this, we can finish our whole jewels shopping in this shop itself"..This is a sudden decision....We selected few bangles and went to the chains and other stuff section..And finally we finished our whole shopping..And now comes the fun part, We have bought jewels worth more than a million, but we don't have a single penny to pay them..YES we just came here just to see new collections right...Then how would we have money to pay them..My aunt went and told the owner of that shop to " We didn bring any money today, Can you please keep all these jewels with you, we will get it tomorrow after paying the money"..But the owner who is a friend of our family told us "Don't play..Please take it..You can give us money later..Its not a problem..Do you want security untill you reach your home.."and he started laughing..Such a sweet seller right..

So we came home safe and sound with a million worth gold without paying even a single penny to them ...How cool is that..This is how my shopping for jewels went on...

But believe it or not purchasing million worth gold took us only 2 hours...Isn't that weird..I am such a express shopper...

Now comes the picture part..I want to share you some of the pictures of my jewels which we bought...Starting with the bangles..

All these bangles are my selection...I totally adore them..Specially the one with peacock design is my favorite.. I love the white stone studded bangle in the first picture too..

Will post the other pictures of my jewels in my new post.....

My Shopping Experience - Wedding Update 1

ITS WEDDINGS SEASON..Do you like me new header???

Huh..I finally found sometime to write about my shopping experience which I was postponing for weeks..We went for my first wedding shopping on March 24th, yes it was on my BIRTHDAY..How cool is that..Shopping on Birthday, YES !!! A Whole tiring day of shopping on my BIRTHDAY.

We started with Chennai, Coimbatore, Trivandrum, later came to a conclusion to shop at Tirunelveli which is pretty close, it will take around 1.5 hours to reach there by car....We started out trip (ie, shopping) at  8'O clock in the morning..We took out perippa's (uncle) swift car..You can see, I am mentioning clearly the car name too…Its for a reason..Keep reading..If you want you can check the car picture too..Click here..

Myself, both of my perimma & perippa and my mum can fit pretty snuggly in the car..And one more thing we have no space for my sister's , so we din take them with us..They all are reserved for the second trip on some other day...After 30 mins travel we had our breakfast in a hotel which we found there..Its name is Arya's..We bought poori masala, masala dosa, onion uttapam, idli, pongal sambar and some filter coffee..I had masala dosa..After a nice meal we continued our journey:D

We reached tirunelveli around 10' O clock..There we went to our family temple and had some religious stuff, It took around an hour there..After all those formalities we reached RMKV  at 11.30..Now time for shopping..We purchased, purchased and purchased..Its like NON STOP..We finished our saree and silk saree shopping at 2.30 ..Luckily I had my friend shabi with me..Tirunelveli is her native place, she joined me at 12.00..We purchased so many stuffs together..Then at 2.30 we went for our lunch again in arya's..This hotel played a main role in our shopping trip, because we had our complete meal for the whole day there…

After lunch we decided to go to Chennai silks , another big textile shop..We started our purchase for other stuffs like salwars, kurtis and so many random stuffs..Shabi left me at 4.30..I finished my entire shopping at 6.00..My mother and perimma were shopping for our relatives..Yes we have a custom in our place that whenever someone is about to get married, their parents will get new clothes for their relatives inorder to show their happiness..So they were busy getting new sarees for all our relatives..The entire shopping was over at 9'O clock in the night..All bills were settled and all luggages were collected…OMG it was so tiring day, I was walking up and down all the time...We were starving like anything, so had our dinner again in arya's..Now time to get back home..

Now comes the tough part..I mentioned in the beginning about the car which we came right..it can accommodate only us and nothing else..Now if you look into our luggages we had bags and suitcases which is not enough to fit in to the car…That much we purchased..Now time to stuff things in to the car..We started stuffing all the bags in every nook and corner..And finally if you get a chance to look into the car..you can only see luggages and not us…The only place where there was no luggages is on the driver seat where my perippa was driving..HA HA HA..how funny is that..We were laughing the whole time in the car...Actually it is a miracle..When we reached home and looked at our luggages we all were in excitement and surprised…I have pictures below this, check it out..The total luggages filled most of our living room..Hmm…It was amazing…

This is how my first shopping went on…I had lots of fun.. I thoroughly enjoyed it..i can never forget it in my life..

See you all with my next wedding update "My Wedding Invitation"

This is just half of the entire purchase
